Time-killers: volleyball, sleep, tv, art, anime, comics, games, this blog, chalk festivals, and college. especially college.
Pet Peeves: spiders, damn spiders
Weaknesses: eyepatches i heart anybody with an eyepatch
absolute destiny apocolypse
I hate ad pop-ups. I hope the people who create such things burn eternally in Hell. Or something equally painful and horrifying. Like becoming Akio's love-bunny for a week. Who am I kidding, one night oughta do the trick.
It has come to my attention that I'm probably going to be very bored over summer vacation, as I am taking no classes. I figured it wouldn't be so bad if we had cable, then checked the tv guide to find that indeed, I am missing out on loads of quality programming.
Cleavage: Mankinds fascination with breasts and cleavage. Only on A&E.
I don't know whether to be disturbed or terribly amused. My mom thought it was hilarious, but she didn't see that the show spanned over 2 hours. I bet it's there so that kids under 18 can tune in.
"Mom, it's not softcore porn, it's a sociological study of the male's response to certain visual stimuli!"
"Oh, okay."

I want Chloe. She's so cute, with her green hobo cape and cute little knives.
Mireille's expression disturbs me. However, I do like her shiny "ho" boots.
This has been brought to you by Madlax, of Bee Train fame, who brought you Noir and the .hack//sign series.
Madlax is currently being fansubbed, and there's only one episode out, but I can't say I recommend it just yet. It's seems be a Noir clone dyed brunette - there's your main heroine, the "long-haired gorgeous seasoned killer pro," and the other heroine who just happens to be a "cute young japanese schoolgirl who also seems bafflingly adept at killing." Or so the previews for the next episode imply. Hm...well, I can't really say anything concrete, as I have only seen one episode. Hopefully the series will take a totally different direction. Who knows.
The music, however, is very Bee Train, and sounds as if it would fit in right at home as background music in "The World." It's all very .hack//sign-ish, albeit much more romantic ("a piece of my eye has broken off..." ooohhh...le sigh), and the opening sequence hosts the same pedophilic/lesbian undertones that the Noir series did.
Bee Train, like Kunihiko Ikuhara, sure seem to like their lesbians.
...I still want Chloe.

I have to say, Jubei-chan 2: Counter Attack of the Siberian Yagyu (long title, eh?), is one of the best anime series to come out recently. I personally think it's much better than it's predecessor, Jubei-chan: Secret of the Lovely Eyepatch (I know, the titles are so...eh), and the characters are just lovely. In the sequel, the fight scenes are flashy and improbable, and the Jubei "reincarnations" are just...it's just great. It's hilarious. I love it. The animation is superb (again, especially during the fight scenes), except the parts which are intentionally badly drawn and used as humor gimmicks. The ending song is infernally perky and catchy, and so is the main theme. It's 13 fun-filled episodes, and I recommend it to anyone.
....It seems I'll never be able to stop being an otaku. But I don't cosplay, thank heavens.
