My mom is all paranoid about downloading off the internet now. She keeps telling me not to "use whatever that thing was" to download songs anymore. She's so afraid that whenever I use Kazaa we're gonna get sued. Hm. mIRC is still in the green, hey?

FFX is ticking me off. I go to the Omega Ruins, fight all the way to the stupid second level, wasting phoenix downs on the way, without coming across a single save point. I'm thinking, I'll just go a little further...and BAM! Stupid Ultima weapon outta nowhere ups and kills me. A whole hour of leveling up, gone! I did it all for those stupid celestial weapons. Damn them. Don't get me started on the chocobos and lightning bolts.

It appears that using my real names results in some sort of food warfare. That's...slightly insulting. I know I'm out of shape and fat. No need to feed me more.

Went out, but not for class. Finally. Through not-at-all extensive planning with Christine, tricked Melissa into bowling instead of the movies. Actually scored above 100, and got to shoot some pool for an hour. Much fun. Then spent the next 2 or so hours just hanging out, eating, and talking. I can't believe how much I miss just being with friends, face to face. I'm such a loner at Art Center, I eat lunch by myself. Everyone's older than me, or smokes. I feel terribly isolated. That's right. Pity me.
I also had a semi-crazed otaku episode. So to reaffirm my status as a fully-crazed otaku, here is a fun fun list of various anime and manga recommendations. I'll even throw in some of my favorite seiyuu's and jpop stars, just for kicks.
Top 10 Anime Series 10. FLCL
9. Juuni Kokki
8. Iria: Zeiram the Animation
7. Trigun
6. Read or Die (ova)
5. Azumanga Daioh
4. Shoujo Kakumei Utena
3. Noir
2. Shin Seiki Evangelion
1. Cowboy Bebop
Top 10 Anime Movies 10. Ghost in the Shell
9. Shoujo Kakumei Utena: Adolescence Mokushiroku
8. Akira
7. Shin Seiki Evangelion: Death & Rebirth
6. Cowboy Bebop: Knocking on Heaven's Door
5. Mononoke Hime
4. Laputa: Castle in the Sky
3. Perfect Blue
2. Grave of the Fireflies
1. Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind
Top 10 Manga Series 10. Tenchi Muyo! (Hitoshi Okuda)
9. You're Under Arrest (Kosuke Fujishima)
8. Gunsmith Cats (Kenichi Sonoda)
7. Magic Knights Rayearth (CLAMP)
6. Shin Seiki Evangelion (Yoshiyuki Sadamoto)
5. Alien 9 (Hitoshi Tomizawa)
4. X/1999 (CLAMP)
3. Ah! My Goddess (Kosuke Fujishima)
2. Battle Angel Alita (Yukito Kishiro)
1. Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (Hayao Miyazaki)
Seiyuu's and Jpop Idols (in random order)
Ayumi Hamasaki (jpop)
Megumi Ogata (seiyuu)
Masami Okui (jpop)
Mitsuishi Kotono (seiyuu)
Aya Hisakawa (seiyuu)
Iwao Junko (seiyuu)
Emi Shinohara (seiyuu)
...although all the seiyuu's sing too...
And that's that. But in general, if you have an open mind, aren't squeamish and enjoy either plot and/or great animation, you can't go wrong with anything Miyazaki (or from Studio Ghibli for that matter), and CLAMP. Although, the latter has the tendency for...twisted relationships (warning - understatement). They've probably hit every unconventional relationship you can think of. But it's always very pretty.
So I've officially started college. Ugh. 10 hours of class in one day. Ugh. But on the bright side, Head Drawing was pretty fun. Never done that before, and the time passed pretty quickly. My instructor, Deni (pronounced da-knee) Wolgemuth (pronounced...uh...you figure it out) is from Holland, and has this cool accent. He also pronounced my name the correct way: Britt-a-ny, which is kinda cool - even I'm too lazy to say my name properly. But then he kept going on about Brittany the province, saying he knew where it was and all that. That's okay though, because I am named after the Brittany coast, and it sure beats hearing people singing "hit me baby, one more time." My Perspective class was a real bore. 5 hours of lecture on junk (and common sense) that I already knew, with boring horizon lines and vanishing points repeated every half-hour. Ew. Good thing I only have that class once a week.
During roll call today...
Deni: Mae-sing Ho? Girl: Here! But you can call me Lin. Deni: Oh, okay. Min-hyung Kim? Girl 2: Here! You can call me Jenny! Deni: Okay! Good! Brittany Lee?: Me: Here! But call me Wing-Lam!
Ha ha, actually, I didn't really say that, but I really wanted to!

I've just discovered that the unbelievably ugly fat cat next door is actually very skinny. It's owner shaved it (it was cut really short anyways) and apparently, it was only about 25% cat, 75% fur. o-O It is, however, still quite ugly.

Haven't been in the mood to really post, but...whatever.
Had my two days of orientation finally (thursday and friday). It was boring. And hot. I made new, uh, acquaintances. And of course, everyone smoked but me. But it was worth it in the end, 'cause I got a free planner, a nifty parking decal to stick on the car, a buncha paper documents, and my long-awaited schedule. But no I.D. The camera wasn't working. So without further ado, my crappy schedule:
Monday:
FREE!
Tuesday:
Head Drawing --- 8 am - 1 pm
Perspective --- 2 pm - 7 pm
Wednesday:
FREE!
Thursday:
Design 1 --- 8 am - 1 pm
English Comp --- 4 pm - 7 pm
Friday:
Principles of Drawing --- 2 pm - 7 pm
And that's that. Sure, some of you may look at my schedule and say, "Gee! She gets Monday and Friday off! Lucky bastard!" But keep in mind, for Tuesday and Thursday I'm stuck in classes from 8 in the morning to 7 at night. With a happy extra class stuck on Friday evening to round things off. Argh. Not to mention every one of my classes is 5 hours long, with the exception of English Comp, which is only 3. That's 23 hours of class time a week. Not including homework and crap. Joy. First term is going to kill me.
